About Dr Kasmira Wilson

Dr Wilson completed her surgical training in Australia before undertaking advanced subspecialty fellowship training in colorectal surgery. She completed colorectal fellowships at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand, followed by a dedicated robotic colorectal surgery fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals in the United Kingdom.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Melbourne, with research focused on rectal cancer, immunotherapy, and personalised treatment approaches. Dr Wilson graduated with honours in immunology from the University of Melbourne, which underpins her interest in the biological mechanisms of colorectal disease. She has a particular interest in the management of young-onset colorectal cancer and the evolving role of personalised treatment strategies. Her work has been recognised with multiple research awards and has been presented internationally.
